It's summer time and it's hot hot hot! I got my hands on Dior's Summer Mix polish collection and...I am floored. Dior calls these nail 'glosses' - and I can't think of a better word to describe them. They're not your usual thick cremes, but a thin, runny coat. Super, super glossy!!!

As you can see, I cut my nails down to nubbins. I'm in the middle of a really down and dirty film shoot that requires a lot of hands-on grime work, and with fake blood and dust and soil all over my hands all the time, having nice long square nails is a BIG hassle. But I don't mind the nubbins, I think it's really refreshing actually.

This is Dior Calypso, a juicy red with just the slightest berry undertone. Glided on beautifully, like fruit juice. Felt like a lip tint for nails.

Best thing of all, always, is that this was a one-coater. I love.

run the world (girls)

Deborah Lippmann's Run The World Girls neon polish collection. How could I pass this up. Mini bottles of Lippmann goodness, these were SO smooth, like milk. They are squishy JELLY neons, and dried semi matte.

All are one coat only. From thumb to pinky: I Kissed A Girl, It Girl, Hollaback Girl, Nasty Girl, Party Girl.

I really hope these eventually make it to the permanent range. They are all juicy, all happy, and I love them all.

This is my new favorite nail polish: Le Métier de Beaute. Recently made available in Hong Kong, I am just breathless at how smooth it applied. And this turquoise...oof. Probably one of my favorite turquoises now, easily. This was a ONE-COAT dream too. And the bottle shape, very satisfying to hold. It made me happy. :)

I just love this. Did this on a whim and turned out lovely. No fancy dotting tools, no pens, no brushes. Just the polish brush itself for each of these.

These were 1 coat each. Lovely summer!
